Forever Bee Propolis

Bees are often associated with honey and pollen, but there is another substance they use: propolis, a sticky resin secreted by trees.

Honeybees collect propolis and biologically transform it, then use it to seal their hives. Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, propolis protects the hive from fungal and bacterial growth.

The name “propolis” comes from the Greek words “pro” and “polis,” meaning “in front of” and “city,” respectively, indicating that propolis defends the community against external threats.

The use of propolis dates back over 5,000 years. The Greeks and Egyptians were among the first to use it as an antiseptic and wound healer. Egyptians used it to embalm their mummies and protect them from microbes and parasites. The Greeks utilized it for its powerful effects on the human immune system, such as stimulating antibody production.

Propolis is harvested from pollution-free areas. To ensure its purity, we use patented collection chambers to gather bee propolis.

Propolis actually contains nearly 150 active components that help improve bodily functions, including:

• Vitamins: such as pro-vitamin A, also known as the “anti-aging vitamin,” plus B vitamins (including B5, which promotes skin growth and resilience).

• Numerous natural minerals as trace elements: such as cobalt, copper, silver, manganese, molybdenum, iron, magnesium, and zinc.

• Phenolic acids: such as caffeic acid, cinnamic acid, and ferulic acid.

• Flavonoids in large amounts: such as chrysin, pectolinargenin, galangin. These flavonoids are natural antimicrobial agents produced by plants to protect them from harmful sunlight and create a natural defense against bacteria, mold, and fungi. In humans, they act as powerful antioxidants.
